A recent video of a motorbike police officer having an awfully hard time handling their BMW K1600 police bike has gone – as we believe the kids say – viral.
Now, we understand that is a lot of bike for anyone, especially with the entire police kit on it, but you would assume this isn’t the officers first day on that rig.
The video starts off with the officer seemingly unable to lift their bike off the side stand. The bike might be on a slight incline but its hard to tell from the video. Luckily, a nice gentleman stops to help the officer. He helps hold the bike upright as the officer mounts the motorcycle. The officer seems to get situated, pulls up the side stand… and promptly falls over. I’m not an expert, but I don’t think that was the plan…
Again, the bystander came to rescue! He helped pick up the fallen bike and hold it for the officer. This continues on for couple more minutes. In the process they somehow turn on pretty much every turn signal and flasher on the bike. Eventually the officer gets herself and the bike right and sets off, albeit very slowly, down the road.
We don’t have much info on the officer or where this took place other than it was South Africa. We don’t know what the requirements are for motorbike cops down there, but hopefully they provide a whole lot more training than this officer received.
