Triumph are recalling 2016 & ’17 Speed Triple Rs

Triumph Motorcycles have announced a recall on affected 2016-2017 Speed Triple R units.

Triumph have had to recall over 500 Speed Triple R’s in the US and over 1100 here in the UK, because of a single, loose wire.

According to the details of the recall, a wire for the charging system of the motorcycle could rub against a bracket for the ABS modulator, potentially resulting in an electrical short.

All of which perhaps doesn’t sound too serious, but if this were to occur the bike could stall, and that would seriously increase the risk of a crash.

So if you’re one of the unlucky few who could have your bike affected, get in touch with Triumph who are taking this very seriously and will replace your link leads and route it correctly for you.
