No, not that kind of bike… The pedal-powered kind!
We at Motofire are nerds and love all things two-wheeled. So when Triumph announced the release of a limited production hardtail mountain bike named XCX to go along with it’s Tiger line of ADV bikes, we just had to tell you about it.
As far as specs go, it isn’t too shabby either.
The frame is 6061 Aluminum featuring a tapered head tube along with internal cable routing for a clean, snag free look. The front suspension is handled by a RockShox XC30 unit with 100mm of travel and lockout/preload adjustment. The bike is a 1×11 group with Shimano SLX shifters, cassette, and rear derailleur. Shimano was also used to supply the hydraulic brakes with 180mm front and 160mm rear rotors. As for wheels, the bike rolls on 27.5 (650b) wheels wrapped in 2.10 Kenda Slant Six tires.
We wouldn’t necessarily consider this bike “High End” but it would be a nice companion to that ADV you have sitting in the garage. Getting dirty on two wheels is fun either way you decide to do it.
Production is said to be limited to a scant 500 and will begin sales in January 2018
