Angry Lane Pacsafe Bags pack in good looks and security

Hong Kong based brand Angry Lane – known for their high-end leather jackets and one-of-a-kind custom motorcycles – are partnering up with Pacsafe to bring two new bags to market.

Launching on Kickstarter today (17.08.17) the ‘Ultimate Riding Bags’ Backpack and Helmet Bag will feature Pacsafe’s patented anti-theft tech, wrapped up in Angry Lanes’ premium materials. Co-founder of Angry Lane Guillaume Barras explained,

“We wanted to do a helmet bag especially, because we hate carrying our helmets around with us, but if you just leave it on your bike it might not be there when you get back.
The backpack is the same idea. With both of these you can go out anywhere, knowing your gear is going to stay where you left it.”

Using Pacsafe® bags existing designs as the starting point, Angry Lane added their design flair and added extra motorcycle-specific features like custom shaped straps, webbing to clip on extra gear, reflective logos for safety, weathersealed materials for riding in the wet and Velcro tabs to stop any straps from flapping in the wind.

Each bag is finished off with their signature vegetable-tanned leather badging, found on their apparel and accessories collections.

Both Guillaume and his brother – and fellow company founder – Benoit say the decision to crowdfund the new project came from their desire to have their customer base involved in every step of the process. Guillaume said: “At Angry Lane we are very close to our customers. We decided to reach out to them directly to help us bring these two bags to market.
Everyone who saw the initial prototype bags wanted one and by crowdfunding this project we believe we can reach way more people with a great product and a great deal. We also can let people join us in the opportunity to come along on this ride” says co-founder Guillaume Barras.

It is not 100% waterproof, otherwise it would need to be in some kind of plastic welded materials. The outer layer and inner layer are water resistant, and there is a highly water resistant rain cover that can be deployed as you can see in an animated GIF on the Kickstarter page https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/angrylane/the-ultimate-riding-bags-keeping-your-gear-safe?ref=created_projects

It would be a great bag if it did not require the use of a rain cover. At the current price point it is worth considering..
