Video: Watch James May ‘unpimp’ a Honda Fireblade

The Grand Tour star takes revenge on an aftermarket accessory.

He’s known for his love of motorcycles, and his love of Honda motorcycles in particular, so it’s perhaps no surprise that when James May sees a Honda CBr1000RR Fireblade with a non-factory fitted windshield/screen he takes matters into his own hands.

Witness the return to ‘standard’ of that machine in a way that only James May can.

(For the record, we would have liked the whole thing to have been shot in real time… There’s something fascinating about May removing and refitting pieces of machinery in ‘Captain Slow’ motion.

As seems to be their way, DriveTribe have removed any embedding of their videos from either their site or their social media channels, so you’ll have to click through to their website to watch the actual video. Sorry about that.

Up to a point, Liam. I’m from the school of thought that says, “If it doesn’t make it faster, handle better, lighter, stop better or more reliable, you’re just jacking off.” But, whatever you want to do, go for it.
