Team Classic Suzuki have signed the popular TV star for the Spa Bikers’ Classic.
After a ‘not so successful’ stint road racing for Honda, Guy Martin has ditched his red leathers for blue and will ride for Suzuki at the four-hour endurance, Spa Classic race at the beginning of July.
Martin’s no stranger to Suzuki of course, having spent a successful part of his racing career with Suzuki, steering various Suzuki GSX-R bikes to victory and podium finishes at the Ulster Grand Prix, Oliver’s Mount, and the Isle of Man TT. He’ll be joined by popular UK rider Pete Boast – who is no stranger to endurance racing – having claimed British and European Flat Track titles with the Suzuki.
“We’re really pleased to be welcoming Guy and Pete to the team for this round of the Classic Endurance series, both have strong links with Suzuki and both love their classic racing… We’re looking forward to being a part of such a special weekend.” – Team Classic Suzuki team principal, Steve Wheatman
Both will be riding a very much en-vogue, Suzuki Vintage Parts-supported Katana, a bike which is always worth a watch; regardless of its celebrity rider.
The Spa Classic takes place from 1-2 July at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium, with Team Classic Suzuki taking part in the four-hour race that starts at 20:00 on Saturday.
