Would you ride the 20mph ‘Motochimp’?

It’s going to cost around $2,000, does 20mph and will travel about 40 miles on a charge. BUT IT’S SO CUTE!

For those of you with a knowledge of Honda’s MotoCompo you can be forgiven for feeling a sense of déjà vu. For the rest of us, we get to experience the weird, contrary delight that is falling in love with a barely practical bike, with a ridiculous form factor and almost guaranteed finger-pointing and laughing from onlookers.

Welcome to the Motochimp.

Coming – as more and more innovative biking ideas seem to be doing – from southeast Asia, Singapore to be exact, the Motochimp is a tiny, foldable, electric motorcycle that fits into the boot of a car.

For a full – and fun – review of the little Motochimp being ridden by a man with at least two feet in height too many for its diminutive frame – check out Johnny Smith’s review on the ever-excellent web show, Fully Charged.
