BMW officially enters India

German manufacturer has officially begun operations in India.

Up until now, BMW Motorrads’ official presence was through selling bikes out of dealerships in Mumbai and Delhi. But now, they’ve officially begun operations in India.

BMW Motorrad are currently in the process of setting-up their teams and network within the region and it is believed that the first dealerships of the new plans will arrive in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Pune.

Interestingly, whilst the initial list of bikes available to purchase within the Indian market has been announced – BMW S 1000 RR, BMW R 1200 RS,  BMW R 1200 RT, BMW K 1600 GTL, BMW R 1200 R, BMW S 1000 R, BMW R NineT, BMW R NineT Scrambler, BMW R 1200 G S Adventure, BMW R 1200 GS, BMW S 1000 XR – the most anticipated bike, the new G310R that has been built in collaboration with TVS is yet to be announced for sale within the region.
