Is the Suzuki Falcorustyco the greatest concept motorcycle ever?

We couldn’t possibly pass a verdict because there are just too many concepts to choose from…

But let’s be honest. This probably is the best ever, isn’t it?

Most people will choose the Nuda concept that Suzuki chose to show the following year, but the Falcorustyco is so utterly amazing that it’s hard to believe it’s been consigned to the dusts of time and that people aren’t clamouring at Suzuki’s door for it to be made. Look. At. It!

Unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1985, this is about as 80’s a design as you can get. There isn’t a frame – the front and rear swingarms are attached directly to a 500c, four-stroke engine, the steering is by hydraulic hub and the drive wasn’t belt, chain or even shaft… It was supposed to be driven by hydraulic pumps that drove power to both the front and rear wheels.

Oh, and yes, those are joysticks!

We rest our case.
