Guy Martin racing Mugen/Honda Electric at Isle of Man TT

This could be Martin’s best chance yet at winning that coveted IOMTT trophy.

The news that Guy Martin was to return to the Isle of Mann TT races alongside John McGuinness at Honda was a rumour-made-real so jaw-dropping that even now we’re not sure we can fully believe it.

In amongst all of that feverish reporting however, it was completely overlooked that an alliance with Honda also means a possible seat on the Mugen electric machine for the TT Zero; this year the motorcycle will be the Mugen Shinden Roku.

Now we can happily report that this oversight has been amended and Guy Martin will be racing for Mugen on the Shinden Roku superbike at the 2017 Isle of Man TT.

And with no MotoCzysz or Brammo/Victory at this year’s event, this has the potential to be the TT race in which Guy Martin finally secures that winners’ trophy.

Guy Martin to ride the Mugen bike in this years 2017 TT Zero race.

Would love to see Guy finally get an IOMTT title…even if it’s Zero TT.
The thought of him not reminds me of how sad I was when Noriyuki Haga retired w/out ever winning an SBK championship.
