Bonus Bike: The Vitpilen 401 Aero

Okay, you can put your tongues away now.

As well as the production ready Vitpilen & Svartpilen 401s that we got to see at EICMA, we also came away with a new favourite; the Vitpilen 401 AERO.

Handily, Husqvarna gave us a one sentence description of the ‘prototype’ bike in their press kit today, and instead of the buzz-word bingo festival that these overview documents can be sometimes, we think that they pretty much nailed it this time.

“The VITPILEN 401 AERO is a compact, single-cylinder ‘Real Street’ bike that it is a modern interpretation of what a faired bike should look like”

We can’t give you details – because there aren’t any – but suffice it to say that this is a Vitpilen 401 with the addition of a new tail, a mid-section around the engine and a windshield; but sometimes it’s the little things that are enough.

But let’s let the designer do the talking,

Actually 375cc… phew. Was worried it might ACTUALLY be 401cc and need higher tax for no reason :D

A nice looking, reasonably quick machine that’s possibly within the band I’m searching through … even though the purchase price is likely prohibitive, it still makes it a more reachable dream ;)
