The launch of a large, twin cylinder engined motorcycle is revealed in company filings.
The rumblings have been around for a while and we first reported on the new machine way back in March with the ‘P61′ project rumours. And now it’s all but been confirmed by Royal Enfield themselves that a 750cc Street model is on its way.
Statements made by Siddhartha Lal, the boss of Royal Enfield during the announcement of the firm’s company results for the second quarter of 2016/2017, would seem to strongly indicate that the new model – in the larger segment – is on its way,
“We will have one big product this financial year, we will be launching something significant next year and we will have variants as well.”
Not much is known about the new machine but it’s expected to be a twin cylinder engine, sized around 650 – 750cc and will be housed within a modified Continental GT chassis.
