If ever there was any doubt as to the strength and potential of the Indian-built machines…
Combined sales for Royal Enfield motorcycles across both import and export rose by 40% in April and May of 2016 when compared to the same time period in 2015.
A total of 96,801 units were shipped out of the factory in the 61 days of April and May which was a huge increase over the 69,272 that left the factory the previous year.
Whilst celebrating that the local, Indian sales were actually up by 37% year on year, the increase in exports is exponential; the growth of that side of the business increased by a whopping 87% according to the regulatory filing made by the Royal Enfield owner Eicher motors on Wednesday.
