Ridden: The Honda Navi – Is it a bike or a scooter?

It’s a mash-up of bits and bobs from existing bikes and scooters within the Honda range. And it’s ace!

Do you remember when we slightly lost our minds over the proposition of the Honda Navi? Well, it wasn’t exactly the six-seat, community scooter of our delirious minds but it was still a fascinating thing of wonder.

Well, now our wonderful friends from across the globe at Powerdrift have had their first ride of the little enigma and their first impressions are more than favourable.

It’s a tiny size of course – with just 12″ and 10″ wheels fore and aft, but would seem to have surprisingly strong handling, and decent suspension. The stability of the small wheelbase could be an issue however, and the drum brakes might not be as strong as some people would like.

That said, it seems like the perfect solution for a bustling, busy commute and if it ever reaches European shores, this little 110cc runabout could go down a storm.

C’mon Honda UK – let’s have one for a week! We’ll behave. Honest!
