Although it still feels a long way off, the build up to the 2016 TT has well and truly begun…
Press releases announcing who’s riding for which team and in what races are now coming in thick and fast.
Another sure-fire way to know the TT is round the corner is the Arai replica lid announcement. Arai and the Isle of Man TT have a long-standing partnership and part of that is the annual special-edition helmet.
This year it’s the RX-7V that gets the makeover, as usual by Italian designer Aldo Drudi. Highlights of this year’s version include the famous three-legged symbol (the ‘Triskelion’), and the words ‘’Ellan Vannin’’ – the Manx name for the Isle of Man – which have been used on every design to date.
The 2016 Arai TT helmet will be handmade in a limited production run. The first ones will will be available to buy from the Arai service centre, in the paddock, on the first TT practice day – Saturday May 28th. From then on, you can pick one up through all Arai dealers.
