Sorry India, the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 isn’t coming to you

Without local assembly, Ducati just can’t justify the cost.

We discussed the Thai pricing a couple of days ago and speculated that the Sixty2 might not be a viable option for the Indian market, and now – according to an article in Overdrive – it’s pretty much confirmed that it won’t be happening.

Without an Indian assembly option, and shipping finished machines over from Thailand out of the question, the only other option for Ducati would be to ‘kit’ assemble but this still wouldn’t reduce costs due to the higher duty costs.

So it looks like Indian buyers looking for a cheap entry into Ducati ownership are going to be out of luck.
