MV Agusta have released their teased F4 LH44 collaboration with Lewis Hamilton. Think existing F4 with sparkly bits, new paint and a new exhaust.
Based around the Mv Agusta F4 RC, the new F4LH44 is essentially the same bike as before but with a lot of extra bling thrown at it; the most obvious of which is the new, candy apple red paint scheme with co-ordinating white frame. There are also a load of new carbon trinkets, an Alcantara seat, blacked-out engine block and a smoked screen (a first for an F4 production model apparently).
Outside of the cosmetics, the performance changes to the bike are a little more interesting. There’s new suspension courtesy of an Öhlins USD NIX 30 TiN-coated fork setup at the front and the same company’s TTX 36 rear shock, a new titanium exhaust replacing the regular four pipe setup for a single, rear under-seat exhaust and a new control unit that is said to have boosted the raw power of the F4 by 7hp to 212hp.
Speaking about the new machine, the Forumula 1 champion seems particularly pleased with the outcome,
“I am very excited to continue my partnership with MV Agusta. I love working with Giovanni and the guys at MV Agusta, their passion for engineering and attention to detail produces stunning, original looking bikes.
My projects with MV Agusta are a great way to combine my love of riding bikes with my interest in creative design process so I am very much involved with the CRC design team throughout.
I am particularly excited to introduce my new bike, the F4 LH44. It looks quite stunning and I had the pleasure of riding on track a few weeks ago in Italy, it feels great and combines the best of both worlds, a race bike for the road! There will be 44 bikes produced so I hope the lucky owners will love it as much as I do”
And how much will this limited edition F4 set potential buyers back? Cost is said to be around €50,000 for one of the ‘limited to 44’ edition models.
