It’s all gone a little bit quiet in the Motofire office this week.
And now, someone has brought a copy of the Daily Star into work, and so we are all looking at each other suspiciously.
Now and then a job comes up that could tempt anyone of us to pack up our laptops and work for the man, and today WMB Logistics (www.wmblogistics.co.uk) have placed an advert for a dream career. They are on the hunt for a bike tester.
With a salary of £27,000 per annum, it’s not going to set your life on fire financially. However, we think the description might get your heart pumping.
Primarily WMB is looking for someone to ride new bikes. Head out, on your own, wherever you want and put the miles in. You will need a sound understanding of mechanics, because you’ll need to know if something feels off. All bikes are unseen, unridden and in the final of their development stages.
Each bike will need a 100-mile run, any route you like, then popped back and cleaned to maintain that showroom sparkle. The only downside to the job that we can see is that you need to go to Gloucester one day a week. A city that no one needs to endure [Ed: Not fair Nancy, we’re sure it’s lovely!].
So, if you are over 21 and have held a full, category A licence for 12 months get yourself onto the website and apply!
Tony Davis, Director of WMB Logistics, said: “All we ask is that they love and know motorbikes as much as we do.”
Well, pretty much every biker’s dream job then. We’re still holding out for the Gin tasters job that was doing the Facebook rounds last year. If only we could work out a way of combining the two.
