Join us as we continue our unnecessary love affair with the crazy, US street-wear brand.
Let’s get this out of the way immediately. Icon have not ever given us any money in exchange for any coverage that we’ve given them. And it’s not for the want of trying… Because we’ve asked often – like a LOT OF TIMES. But their European distributor, Parts Europe, flat out refuses to spend any money on the ‘waste of budget’ that is digital marketing, and whilst we would very much like their money, and disagree vehemently that placing all of your advertising money into the dying print media is a wise choice for any marketing department, they might well have a point…
Because here we are again, writing about their catalogue once more.
But still… Look. At. It! What other motorcycle-focused company do you know that spends this kind of budget or attention to detail on their clothing? Who else is furnishing the youth with fabulous garments that aren’t pandering to the latest focused-group or ‘trendy’ trend? Nobody. Because just as the rest of the world cottons-on to the fact that jeans, proper jackets that look like jackets and motorcycle boots that look like proper shoes that you can actually wear off of the bike might be the next best thing, Icon continue to peddle their amazing blend of crazy graphics and perfectly bonkers bike wear.
So go, MF’ers… Go and look at the beauty that is Icon’s new catalogue and tell them that Motofire sent you. Then ask them if that guy in marketing might actually be interested in spending some of their moolah in exchange for our gushing praise.
(Or perhaps they’ll just wait until next year when they know we’ll do exactly the same thing for nothing in return).
