There is literally no other explanation other than some ridiculously dark magic.
When Loris Baz began to lowside his Ducati during the first qualifying session of the Austin MotoGP everything was right with the world; Physics was still a thing, everything that Hawking and Einstein had worked towards held true and we could be certain that the sun would rise again the next day.
But then this happened…

…and now we don’t know what the real world even is anymore!
Check out this other angle if you don’t believe us…

Baz’s explanation? A measly, “I really wanted to get in Q2… I was not able to do it, but I managed to save the crash, and at least my sponsors will be shown all around the world.”
Not a single mention of wizards, magic tricks or even invisible string/rope theory.
All we do know is that it made Marc Marquez upset, “Today I’m a little bit sad, because I was on pole position but I lose the best save of the year! It was amazing. I was in the box and I was happy like being on pole, because that save was incredible! “
Incredible is one word for it.
