We’re unashamed fans of Icon clothing and gear here at MFHQ. So when a new catalogue comes out it tends to send us a little bit dizzy.
We’ve fond, childhood memories of browsing the new sports gear catalogues religiously as soon as they came out. All the new styles of kit for the season made it feel like the night before Christmas, every day.
But then we grew up, realised that we couldn’t have every item of everything in the world and adulthood came knocking and tore the daily excitement of life right out of us.
Every now and then however, an event comes around that helps us to remember just what that feeling was like – if only for a fleeting moment. The arrival of an Icon Motorcycle Gear catalogue is one of those times.
For 2017, Icon are continuing their unabashed assault upon the senses, and we know that this gear doesn’t always feel like it’s for everyone – but don’t panic. For every crazy, neon-coloured item there’s a superbly built and finished one waiting to be found.
And then there’s their Icon 1000 range as well of course.
New for this year is their TiMax range. Sports-cut jackets and jeans with Titanium armoured plates for that little extra ‘bling’. Imagine if the end of the known world was just around the corner and that you had to prepare for a Mad Max-esque break for the border (admittedly not that hard in today’s climate) and you’ve pretty much nailed that look.
For a complete view of the range check out their website, but Parts Europe who are responsible for the distribution of their gear here in Europe have a flippable PDF if you want to pretend that it’s 1999 and you’re living in the future.
