Honda aren’t launching the CBR250RR in India.

Despite the excitement, there are no plans to launch the new lightweight sportsbike in India.

Last week Honda announced their new 250cc sportsbike, the CBR250RR in Indonesia to universal excitement.

Originally speculated towards as a concept at the Tokyo Motor Show, the fast-tracked into production bike will come with throttle-by-wire, three rider modes (a first for a bike in this segment) and ABS. At the launch, Honda boasted that the bike had ‘class leading performance’.

Sadly, none of which is currently intended to turn a wheel anywhere within India.

Despite saying that there ‘will be more products announced for the Indian market this year’, Yadvinder Guleria, senior VP at Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India, Mr Guleria has confirmed that neither the newly announced CBR250RR or the CBR300R will see themselves on Indian soil this year.

Last week, Honda UK also confirmed that there are no current plans to launch the bike in UK or Europe either.
