Lorenzo may have won the MotoGP championship, but it’s Rossi who’s off to the bank.
VR46 Racing Apparel is Valentino’s major business concern outside of his racing. He may own a restrauant and a racing team himself, but it’s his clothing and apparel company that brings him and his associates the major revenue. And now he can add another name to his expanding roster of brands within the VR46 umbrella, because his manufacturing company has just been announced as the official producer of Yamaha race team clothing.
Not content with having Dani Pedrosa, Cal Crutchlow and Scott Redding amongst the names who he produces hoodies, hats and t-shirts for – his website is still selling Marc Marquez gear despite rumours that he cancelled that contract in the wake of his ‘feud’ with the rider – the new deal between VR46 and Yamaha will see Rossi’s company responsible for producing all of the gear for the entire Yamaha racing range.
“We are delighted about the partnership with Yamaha Factory Racing, and I hope this is just the beginning of an even larger project with our partner. The passion and dedication are some of the values that the two companies have in common. This agreement is an important recognition for us, no doubt a confirmation of the work we do every day.” – VR46 CEO, Alberto Tebaldi
It’s not just MotoGP related merch either. This deal sees VR46 in charge of everything for all of the Yamaha Racing Teams; that’s the new WSBK team right through to the MX riders.
It’s quite a deal!
