What’s dafter than a 988cc supercharged Kawasaki sportsbike pumping out 296bhp? A 988cc, 296bhp supercharged Kawasaki with no fairing, wind protection, and upright bars, that’s what.
This is a bike that has a tail piece designed to hold you in place while the acceleration tries to tear the skin from your face, it’s not like it needed to be any harder to hold on.
But, that’s exactly what crazy French design firm AD Koncept have done, in designing this rather brilliant looking naked Kawasaki H2R. AD Koncept have ditched the carbon fibre fairing and clip-ons and replaced them with some wide, flat bars and the tiniest nose fairing.
While I highly doubt a naked H2R will be available any time soon, it’s certainly a bike I would love to open the garage to based purely on looks alone. Perhaps the next Z1000 could look something like this? Actually, that’s not a question. This is how the next Z1000 should look.
This isn’t the first absolutely bonkers Kawasaki H2R/H2 concept, either. Gannet Design dreamed up a supercharged cafe racer back in October 2014, which looks equally bonkers.
Both go in completely different directions styling-wise, but both work extremely well. But which is better? There’s only one way to find out…
